Storing fishing scents

Featured Replies

So I finally tried out some bang garlic yesterday and after spraying it once and then storing it my backpack compartment it started to smell like garlic. The smell is gone now but what's the best way to store this can so it doesn't stink up everything? Ziplock bags?

Zip Lock could work

Or you could go another route ~

I have used a ziploc bag at times. I use Liquid Mayhem gel that has a snap cap like megastrike and generally throw it unbagged in the front pocket of my shore bag. In the boat I keep a few different tubes in a Rubbermaid shoebox and the one I am using in a cup holder off the floor so I don’t step on it and make a mess.

By the end of any given fishing trip I have a lot of my JJ's Magic stored by soaking it into my pants.

My garage smells like a pizza parlor as does my truck. I never take JJ's on my boat, I use Edge Hot Sauce it's safer!

I keep Bang Craw/Shad in my backpack and never had a problem. I get more smell out of having packs of Berkley Power bait soft plastics in it! Now I don't keep JJs in it because ive read too many horror stories on here. I keep spike it in my backpack until i learn the hard way not to.
