Hi. I'm looking at buying a 1986 VIP for $4,500 is this a good boat for 1st time boaters and is this a good price?

    Price seems high from here.

    One sold locally with rebuilt 115 Chrysler engine and upholstery redone for $2400.

    Boat prices here in Fl are crazy high right now, don’t  know about where your at. Everything seems to be way over priced.

    In a boat that old, its all about condition.  If the boat, motor, trailer, and everything else is in great shape, that would be a good deal.  If everything needs a ton of work, even free might be too much money.
