Want to fish tomorow. Where would you go?

Featured Replies

Supposed to be nice around 60 degree out. I can go to a place that is elevation 255 feet or a place that is 1319 feet. Obviously the higher up place will be colder but forecast says maybe 2-3 degree difference.

Those are the places. In 6 mile I caught a couple bass at last week. I have not been to the grafton place yet. I will be fishing from kayak.

Really looking for advice from people who live in northish area like me but not specifically northeast really. My first time fishing in spring time this year and stumped where to go.

I would expect lower elevation to have warmer water temps and be farther along toward the spawn. Lower one is also smaller and slightly shallower, which is usually means warmer (all else equal)

See if you can get out and check the water temps of both places. If the lower one is indeed several degrees warmer, I'd fish it now, and move to the higher one later once the lower one starts spawning in order to extend pre-spawn fishing.

The shallower lake will warm up faster in the sunshine if you have that information.

Went to 6 mile and got a bass. I paddled all the way into the back right arm. So much cover out there all downed trees. I got the bass on a dark sleep lure. It kept getting hanged up on all the wood though so I used a small bitsy jig with a cray fish on it. I didnt get hung up with that but also didnt catch anything else. WAY in the back there was 100s of turtles all basking in the sun on logs and sticks. Was a good day had lots of fun.

Nice fish. I was not too happy about those dark sleeper hooks and wood. They bend up too easy for the price.
