My 3 Go To Baits This Year

Featured Replies

I’ve been fishing for about 5 years (probably once a week except during winter). I’ve caught a lot of fish over my time but really bounce around from lure to lure (taking way too many lures and switching way too often).

This year, my goal is to pick 3 lures and try to perfect them over the year:

1. Jig

2. Pop-R

3. Spinnerbait

I figured these 3 (with the different colors) should be able to cover different depths and still have success on most waters I fish (small ponds, lakes and creek fishing).

Anyone else try to do something similar?

thats in my list as well. Addition to that 2-10" plus glide baits in my list, And last but not least 3- Frog.

So I have three combos that this three lure will be on them 24/7.

I did this last year...  jigs, worms, and swimbaits. Results... average fish size up, numbers down, as expected with a new pb to boot. Additional benefit of increased confidence and knowledge of where how and when to use them.
