Megabass x-bites

Featured Replies

Curious if anyone has fished this rod. They are out of stock everywhere. Tempted to buy one but haven't seen many reviews.

I have the Super Destroyer and it's NRX sensitive, if not more so.  The reviews that I have seen say the X-bites is more sensitive than the Super Destroyer.

I have been looking for one as well.  When I find one I'm going to pair it with a Steez SV TW.

Thanks for the response. Punchfishing does a video review and the action is really what intrigues me.

More sensitive than an NRX?  I thought the NRX being the most sensitive rod on the planet was why we put up with them looking like they were built by a blind man in 1993.

I have 3 NRX's and love each of them but depending on the application the Super Destroyer is just as sensitive or just slightly better.  I like the NRX's better for jigs but the Super Destroyer might have a slight edge on T-rigged soft plastic.

Watched that video as well.   And I am also intrigued by the action as it compares to the NRX and GLX jig and worm rods.  Will it be faster or somewhere between the NRX and the MBR GLX rods?  All I know is I want one.

The action to me was softer than the 843 mbr action.

It had more flex in the tip. Its was super light weight though.

It felt more sensitive than my Conquest 843.

I was throwing a 3/8 oz jig. Then tried a jackhammer on it just to see if I could sense the vibrations. Yep, pretty sensitive.

Just wasn't crazy about the short trigger. Didn't work with how I palm my rod n reel.

just curious what everyone uses their x-bite for.  Only bottom contact or what?  thanks
