Trophy Bass Books?

Featured Replies

My spring semester in college is coming to a close here and I would like to read some bass books over the summer with a focus on giant largemouth. I've heard of "in pursuit of giant bass" by bill murphy but what are some other good reads? Any recommendations?

I picked up this book based on your recommendation on a prior thread and I can't say how helpful it has been. I haven't got a giant yet, but I've increased the size of the bass I have caught and I credit it directly to things I learned in this book.

Thank you for the suggestions! I went ahead and bought Bill Murphy's to start but I'll check out the others as well.

Hannon's Big Bass Magic - Doug Hannon

Lures for Lunker Bass - Bud Andrews

Fishing on the Edge - Mike Iaconelli - Only read this if you want to catch GIANTS!!!

High percentage fishing, also by Josh Alwine.

The Bill Murphy book is great and IMO perfectly demonstrates how we as fishermen are stubborn, as few if any have the discipline to follow Bill's tried and proven approach (stitching) ... myself included.

Any thing Doug Hannon.

I try to find long lost techniques that may work in the lakes I fish in really old books about largemouth fishing.
