How are guys getting the larger girls to bite in deeper water after the spawn in the deep socal lakes?

Lucky you Tom aka @WRBis a well known here and happen to catch a ton of big bass everywhere. I would die to get him to come fish with me here in Canyon Lake.

I;m a one trick pony at this point.  drop shot.  for sure.

 

I was pulling bass up below huge bait balls at 60 feet in Lake Berryessa.  honestly, I was shocked it worked.  I nose hooked that plastic shad looking bait, the Hazadong shad.  killed them.
