I have the Nucanoe Flint and I like to standup when fishing the docks. With any sort of wind I get 2 maybe three casts in and I have to sit back down and paddle back to the dock. I've tried anchoring and then fishing the dock, picking up the anchor and going to the next dock and repeating but this is kind of a pain. I am thinking about maybe getting chain link as an anchor as it seems like this may be a little easier to pull up and down. Also thinking about a steak out pole. Any suggestions on what you guys do?

I'm in a canoe - very similar situation.

 

Anchor on an anchor trolley is my method...ya, it's a little bit of a pain cleaning the flukes off, but it holds better than anything but a Power-Pole micro

I put a bow mount trolling motor on my kayak and just motor up to each dock

You may find that to be the case.  Cover it with a bicycle inner tube - that's what I use as a drag to slow my kayak in river currents.  You might also want a winder - the Anchor Wizards work well for me, but others have good luck with retractable dog leashes and other less expensive approaches.
