it’s funny, you hear people all the time say they fished a weekday and there’s still bass boats everywhere, leading them to always make the comment “doesn’t anybody work anymore?” I always reply “well you clearly  weren’t at work either” hahana

True!!

I think you got a lot of retired guys, you got some guys who either work nights, or work weekends so they get days off in the middle of the week.

On a different note, it's amazing how those flurries of action can make or break a tourney. KVD caught a large majority of his fish in like a 20-30 min window, then not another fish for over a hour. This is where some of the 'luck' comes into play, as you gotta find the right school, right time, and fire em up... For the guys that didn't find that, they suffered. It's just the name of the game I guess!

Anyone else been out on Chick and able to relate to what the pros were doing?

Matt Lee posted in Instagram saying KVD won the tournament in one of his spots but just wasn’t there the right day and time

Those are my favorite, that's "my" spot. There's a REALLY good chance if someone has a "spot", there are a bunch of people who also share that spot.

I'm gonna guess I've spent in the neighborhood of 30-40 hours fishing the ledges on the Chick

Probably about 25 of those within site of the power plant

KVD's winning spot is a community hole too

Not too many secret spots on the Chick

They have these 3-6 hour "dogfight tourneys" everynight and there is no less than 15 trails running tourneys on that lake.

Those college kids from Bethel fish them all and thats part of why they have been so successful

I fished a tuesday night dogfight a few years ago and Wheeler, Strader and Michael Neal were all fishing it.
