What's your take on this rod? I'm looking at both Shimano Expride MH, and Tatula Elite model, and both do look good on paper. Which one would you choose for TX rigging/worm fishing/ etc. Of course, there is that infamous - fragile? -  AGS guides that I need to think about. 

The fragile AGS guides are the downside. Outside of that, it’s arguably the most versatile rod I have. Flukes, tubes, Caffeine Shads, Senkos, Texas Rigs, jigs, etc. If I only could use one rod all day, this would be it. 

I just picked up the Tatula and its an amazing rod. Got it to replace my e6x that I was using for bottom contact baits. Never fished the Shimano but have heard good things about it.

Sounds good, sir. Have you had a chance to A/B with Expride? if not, what other rods have you tried that are on par with Tatula Elite?

I have had 2 different Exprides on order for months over the past 1.5 years and finally gave up and bought something else so I can't compare to that. Not sure I have anything else that really compares to the Ehrler rod... its fairly unique being between a Medium and Medium-Heavy. Closest for me would be a Phenix Feather 7'1" MH XF which fishes a little lighter than a true MH IMO so fairly close.  

The most unique thing about this rod is there lure rating range. It’s pretty close to both ends, maybe just a tad over and under the lower and upper ratings.

No other rod lovers or experts with opinions?

I have the daiwa, and I like it. If crisp is a legit description, that's what I'd call it. 

I'm sure they are both great; the daiwa seems built for a light-ish bottom contact presentation.
