I did at one time but not anymore. I run mostly braid and don't completely trust it to not weaken or damage the line especially with how long braid lasts.

I use KVD when I put new line on the spool, and then again the day before go fishing.

I use it also to wipe down my reels and clean the guide inserts.

It would have to be new nylons because I don't own any old nylons ;~)
