What am I doing wrong that hides my reply?

Has happened at least 3 times, but I don't know why.  I do know I hate the track pad on my laptop because I often have weird crap happen from hovering over it while typing.

e-mail @Glenn and ask him. It's his site.            jj

I believe it lists certain things in the forum rules that can't be posted here. Look through that and see if anything stands out.

The times my posts have been hidden for moderator approval, they contained off-site links.

Glenn and company have set up protocols that automatically hide posts containing links to questionable websites.  They've established those protocols, which is their business.

I get a notice when a moderator approves my post with such links.

I could block this one right now with a link to one vendor I can think of and, again, after they check them out, they have always approved my links.

One thing I notice about BR is a complete absence of Beta-Bot spamming.

Beta Bots are getting pretty good about making conversational posts and feigning to be people.

Their protocols obviously do a great job blocking that annoyance.

Or a questionable group I think.

Anytime I mention the G-Boys by full name...it's held for approval.

As you would see if you looked at the post that was hidden, it contained several links.  So I will try to remember that from now on.  Maybe try to find a way to point to them without actually giving the link.  Or suggest what to search for.  They are links to very low cost fly rods.  Two on Amazon and one on Piscifun.

They may have helped the OP as he got one of the rods I linked to and bought a reel for it I suggested in a later post.

EDIT:  A reel I bought after diligent research.  I actually bought more than one.  :lol1:

Really it's all about eliminating spam. As mentioned previously, we do a pretty good job of preventing that.  :)

No need to do that.  I'm working on a modification to the system that allows these things from established members while still hiding posts from new members. Hopefully that will cut down on the annoyances.
