G Loomis GLX Rod Question

Featured Replies

Are there any significant differences between older GLX rods and newer ones?  Are there any reasons to avoid the older versions of this @line of Loomis rod?  I may have a line on a couple older full grip models - 874 BCR and crankbait.  Also, if condition is good without any major blemishes or marks on the blank, what is a reasonable price to pay in the used market?  Thanks in advance YALL!

The older GLX are GREAT rods. I think $200-$250 is a good pricing range.

I agree, I have been slowly buying up older GLX MBR and CR rods to build my yaking arsenal.  In addition to being great rods, they offered a lot of shorter options.  I will happily pay $200 per but it looks like the prices on ebay seem to be rising.
