NRX+ 873 CRR Users

Hey folks - trading in some odds and ends to *** and picking up subject rod. Going to use it for jigs and Texas rigs.

Any current users here have any feedback on it? Good, bad, neutral?

I have the old version and it's awesome.  If the new is equal or better, you will have a fine rod on your hands.   It works great for both techniques you mentioned.

I am looking to do the same thing to buy the same rod.  If you know of a good buy on the 873crr I’d love to know.

I have the NRX+ 873 CRR. I also had the older version. The 873 is the perfect 3/8-1/2 jig rod. I like new version much better. The balance is better and the reel seat is more comfortable. I hate the hook keeper, but I can live with it. It is extremely sensitive. It also is sturdier due to the spiral wrapping. As far as availability, they are very hard to find. I was not able to my usual discount. If you are interested, I do have a warranty replacement NRX+ 873 CRR coming (hopefully in November).
