Blue JJs magic..

So every time I read an article or post about lure dyes all I really hear about is orange and chartreuse. Got me wondering does anybody use the blue?

It works well on white baits.  I mostly use chartreuse and methylate, but have all the colors.  Watch the man himself do up a fluke:

I use Blue, Chartreuse and Red Spike-It Markers to transform pearl white swimbaits

into something like a Sexy Shad (A-Jay's version anyway).

Either way, the Green Bass eat it pretty good.

Nice dye job AJ.

I use blue JJ's. Usually on white or pearl colored baits. Even chartreuse, you get a green tail then.

I bought all the colors a few years back.  Used them to dip my baits I wanted to dip, even used the blue to make some sexy shad colored flukes like shown above.  Then I closed up all the jars and put them back in the TW box only to come back in a few weeks to a smelly box and empty jars.  I guess I got jars with bad seals because all the JJ's inside evaporated leaving nothing inside.  Jars were stored upright the whole time and the box was in my garage.  Maybe they got too hot.  Dunno.

Dipping the tail of a Watermelon Red Baby Brush Hog in blue dye has been very effective at times for the areas I mostly fish.

The nice thing about Spike-It markers is it takes seconds to apply, you can strengthen the color with additional marks, and you can rub after application to create a blended effect.  Not sure but that looks like what A-Jay did in his image.  I like JJ's too.
