Got some really nice skins off of ebay and local and also some hairline assortment packs and cut a bunch of zonker strips!  Rabbit, arctic fox, mink, sable, squirrel, nutria and others.   

How did you go about cutting. I havent had a ton of luck

Is your question how to cut a patch off a zonker strip?

 

If yes, I use sharp fly tying scissors, part the hair as best I can, and simply cut them.

 

If no, please elaborate.

That was my question. That ii how i have done it as well, but its not the most uniform or efficient process. With the volume of cutting he did, i wondered if he used a different method.

I made up cutters with razer blades and nuts and bolts

 

As far as uniform they come out really good 

Cool, i like that. Guesing you run the blades down the back of the hide.

Yep stretch it and cut it down the skin side.  I always clean out the vacume cleaner tub and suck up all the loose fur when I'm cutting and then keep that for making dubbing.
