Spinning rod recommendations?

Featured Replies

Hello, I just got a custom spinning reel since I got rid of my old one and was wondering if anyone could recommend a spinning rod that's quality but not too expensive?

$75-$120 range

Dobyns Fury (I've got two of these)

St. Croix Bass X

Lews TP1-X

Diawa Procyon (One of these in my arsenal)

what techniques are you looking to use with your new rod? what is "not too expensive" in your budget?

Seconding the BassX, a 7' Medium light should suit the majority of your needs

In that price range I like the Shimano SLX spinning rods - A general purpose 7 footer would be good.

$80-100: Daiwa Procyon, Daiwa Tatula XT, Falcon BuCoo, St. Croix BassX

$120-180: Daiwa Tatula, Daiwa Tatula Elite, Dobyns Kaden, iRod Genesis, St. Croix Mojo

just to name a few

I just got the Dobyns Fury ML for myself and the Diawa Procyon MH for my grandson. So far we are both happy with our selections. Gives us two methods of fishing to see what is working at the same time.
