Mojo rig

Featured Replies

Thinking of purchasing a threading tool and some rubber for it.  I do not have any mojo weights but do have some tungsten barrel weights that are lighter from woo.

what size do I need https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Bullet_Weights_Rubber_T-Stops_10pk/descpage-BWRTST.html

I’m assuming this is works without the mojo brand weights right

A trace of mono doubled up will work for threading rubber. I just use a large barrel swivel, cause I have a bunch from the salt.

Those rubber pegs work great. So does a rubber band, toothpick or swivel. I've never tried it but a split ring should work too.

They’re $3.49 - buy one of each. If I had to pick only one, go ‘large.’ By design, it should work with most any weight. Doesn’t have to be a mojo weight, either. Works with nearly any sliding weight. Same with the threader, though you adjust that by number of strands threaded. I often just pull one or two from a spinnerbait or jig skirt to use instead of buying special.

Top Brass rubber Peg-It II, no need for a tool. Use a 8 mm faceted glass bead and peg it for a weight stopper and let the weight slide...slip shot rig.

Tom

I just put 2 rubber bobber/bait stop on each side  of the weight.

I use toothpicks, I don't think it makes a huge difference, I'm not tournament fishing so I don't care either, plus they are free at most restraunts... you just get that look when you take a few dozen more than you are supposed to... maybe if I go pro olive garden will sponsor me with toothpicks.
