I am new to electronics . I received for Christmas a Humminbird Helix 7 mega Chirp Di and one Helix 7 Mega Chirp SI both G3 . Where do u all like/ or put your SI on the bow or console. I’m for the most part shallow water fisherman 10’ or less . Thanks any help Curt

    Most put the si on the stern.  Personally I like it both places.

    Where ever you spend the most time stopped.  OR if you troll ?  I have the bigger one at the wheel to see a fish coming close to boat /  lure being trolled.

    What ever feels best for YOU is correct.  Enjoy seeing what does not bite.    :)
