Second Texas rig setup

Featured Replies

Setting up my second Texas rig rod the first one has 14 sunline sniper on a 7 foot med-mh tatula elite what would you recommend for line size for the second I’m assuming a different line size would be a benefit for certain situations I was leaning towards 12 but didn’t know if that would even make a difference

What are you throwing on the first one? 3/16 oz, 1/4 oz etc? What do you plan to throw on the second? What types of cover do you plan to fish? So many variables, the question is near impossible to answer.

Yes I have the same exact rod and the 14lb one I've already set up I plan to probably fish 3/8-1/2 and the rod I'm trying to figure out would be less than 3/8oz

You can use 1/8 to 1/2 oz bullet weights plus soft plastics on your rods using the same 14/.012D FC. I suggest using the same line on both outfits rigged with different worms, craw worm or creatures.
