Looking at both reels. I know quantum doesn’t have big investment in spinning reels like abu Garcia. Just looking for users experience with these 2 reels. Thanks

Spinning? I have no experience with the Quantum Smoke but I do have the Abu Garcia Zata 20 spinning reel.

I love this reel. Unlike it’s graphite baitcaster counterpart it has an aluminum frame. Casts a mile with the rocket spool and is smooth. I plan on using it on a medium light rod for Panfish, Trout, Pickerel, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. I got mine on sale and could not be happier

I have two of the Quantum Smoke PT S3, got them on sale for about $125 each to be matchy matchy with some SLX rods. I like them a lot, but I wouldn't pay MSRP for it. They feel about on par with my Daiwa BGs.
