Sixth Sense Axis

Featured Replies

Has anybody ever used on the Axis 2.0 metal wobbly lip crankbaits?  The manufacturer makes it sounds like all any fisherman needs is this bait in all available colors of course.  Any opinions or reviews would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

It's a neat bait with a wild action, doesn't dive nearly as deep as it looks like it would. It hunts wildly from side to side maybe 8-10 inches. I'm not a big crankbait guy but it's definitely something different to show the fish.

I catch more fish on the 13 fishing jabber jaw, which is pretty much the same thing but a little smaller. I suppose I should try Axis when they are biting big squarebills.

Was looking at them myself. Definitely has an erratic action. Not really sure what to think about that. Haven't bought one yet... Will probably stick with the Curve Finesse.

I have both, they don't really act anything alike. The Jabber Jaw swims more like a regular squarebill, the Axis wanders all over the place.

I'm guessing it is supposed to have the deflection action without actually hitting anything. I wonder how the bill will hold up with the occasional rock strikes though
