DX 744 FH and 1/2 oz jigs?

Featured Replies

I just bought the DX 744 FH and was wondering could this rod hand 1/2 oz jigs. I know Dobyns are weird because their blanks seem a little lighter and was just curious. I was planning to use this rod for jigs from 3/8-1/2 oz and 1/4 oz t-rigs.

It will be fine for casting jigs to 1/2 oz and T-rigs.

I think that’d be the max, but That rods built a little stouter up to an extra fast tip so you’ll be fine.
