7’ light expride/ Ned rod suggestions
I’m just going to keep it real, I’m lowkey starting to regret selling it. It def probably was the braid looking into it. Imma probably just buy another. I can get a new one for 437.

7’ light expride/ Ned rod suggestions
I’ll have to try. If I can’t find anything I’m willing to get a rod custom built.

7’ light expride/ Ned rod suggestions
See, that’s what I what I was going for at first but so many people said it feels like medium. I’m looking for more of a ml but I’d really like to feel one in person. I also think the braid I was using slightly hindered distance. I just overall would like a longer rod.

7’ light expride/ Ned rod suggestions
I’m looking for a new ned rod and the 7’ light seems like the rod for the job. I used to own a NRX+ 821 NRR but I sold it. I thought it was overkill. Never was a great caster. My friends Landsat always outcasted me. Sensitivity was great, but that was expected. I also am looking for more length in a Ned rig rod. Besides that I also got a killer deal on a 822 DSR. I’m looking for a Ned rod around 7’ and 7’3, which is where the expride lies. I’m also very open to suggestions on ned rods aswell.

Metanium DC’s Brakes Broken?
I’m not going to out this person because of this. I’m a little confused still myself about this situation because in reality I didn’t think the DC was broken, and I ended up being right. We’re human and make mistakes. The real test (no pun intended) is when I take it out on the water, and see how it fishes. That’s when I’ll know how the service is. He’s been very good with communication and such and I’ll give an update on how the reel performs after I get it back.

Metanium DC’s Brakes Broken?
UPDATE: He figured out why the DC wasn’t working. He said the the dial was in between settings. So the reel is good.

Metanium DC’s Brakes Broken?
Before I sent it to him, I didn’t even notice it was broken. Makes the sound when I cast. I just wanted to get my reel annually serviced. I thought it was. When I sent my reel my only implication was to get it serviced. I thought it was fine. When I get it back I’m going to look at it.

Metanium DC’s Brakes Broken?
This is exactly why I’m confused too. He just told me it’s shot.

Metanium DC’s Brakes Broken?
I sent my reel in to get serviced by a reputable guy. He just informed me that my metanium’s DC brakes are broken/shot. How could I have possibly done this? I’ve had this real for a year and a half and have taken really good care of it, so idk how this even happened. I spent $500 on this reel too so I would like to address and fix it.

7’2 H vs 7’3 XH Expride
Which one of these would you choose for a frog rod. I can only choose between 1 of them. Primarily used for frogs, but can double as a flipping and magdraft rod. Alot of people rave about the 7’3 XH for frogs but some say it doesn’t have the tip to walk the frog. That confuses me considering it is a mod-fast. I throw mainly Spro bronzeye 65’s and pop 60’s.

Texas rig rod
Narrowed it down on my own time to the 843c MBR vs the 7’2 MH expride. Which would y’all choose between the two?

Texas rig rod
What rod would you use to throw a Texas rig with a weight between 3-16 to 5-16 oz?

IMX PRO 845 CBR
Anyone have any insight on this rod to give. Wanna use it for 1.5’s mainly but also lipless cranks and sometimes mid-divers.
-
IMX Pro 845 CBR?
I want a rod that can mainly throw 1.5’s. Does the 845 load up on casts with them, or do I need to drop to the 843. I had the Champ XP 705 CB and I hated casting 1.5’s because it didn’t load. I also want to throw lipless baits but the main focus is 1.5’s, like the ones made by strike king, lucky craft, 6th sense, and more.

Megabass P5 Z-Crank Elseil
I was looking around for a rod to throw 1.5 squarebills, smaller lipless baits, and sometimes jerkbaits. I would predominantly throw squarebills a little bit above or below 1.5 though. I tried a Dobyn’s 705CB but that rod doesn’t load well enough for my uses. I was also looking at the swingfire but the Z-Crank Elseil really has my attention. Ik the Z-Crank is graphite but would it load enough?

Asian Portal Fishing Charged Me Twice?
I bought a zillion from them and now my card has two charges for the same thing. One is pending but I’m trying to get a bantam soon and now I’m in debt on my debit card.I believe if they don’t do anything with the pending transaction in a couple days they’ll give your money back, but I’m not sure. Anyone have something similar happen with them and if so what happened?

Epoxy Cracking Normal?
I talked to one of my friends and he said that it’s epoxy that creeped up the guide past the thread wrap. The theory is when I bent it, it was excess epoxy on the guide that cracked.
-
Epoxy Cracking Normal?
I just got a new rod and I was going through the guides and I pressed one slightly, not even bending the guide at all. I heard a crack noise. Then pressed the same guide two three more times and it made a smaller noise then the noise disappeared as if nothing happened. Is that normal on new rods? Is that a sign of rods just being broken in? Or should I get this checked out? I can’t see any visible cracks or anything but I’m just weirded out by hearing that cracking noise on a brand new rod.

Bantam MGL 2022 or Metanium MGL 2020?
I need a reel to put on the NRX+ 894C JWR. I was looking at the Metanium but I put my Chronarch on it and it was a little tip heavy. It balanced right below the first blue wrapping. Now it’s got me thinking if I should go to the bantam for it’s heavier weight. I’ve seen lots of people put the Metanium on the NRX though, so I’m conflicted.

Do I pull the trigger on the Champ XP 705 CBMF Glass?
I’m looking for a rod dedicated towards squarebills from 1.5-2.5 and even flat sides. I’ve been trying to find which model will be best for shallow diving cranks and I think this is the one. My only issue is I’ve never really fished glass and I’m hoping it isn’t just a complete wet noodle.

Champion XP: 705CB vs 705CB Glass vs 705CBMF Glass
I’m torn between these three champ rods. I’m looking at this rod for 1.5-2.5 squarebills and up to 3/4 oz traps like the LV500. I’m looking at this rod to throw 1.5 squarebills mainly but still be easily capable of the other baits. Fishing these baits mainly on 12 lb fluoro.

Cranking Stick
How do you like your 705 cb champion xp?
-
Cranking Stick
It’s kinda out of my price range. I’m also trying to stick with 7’ for my cranking rod.

Cranking Stick
I’m looking for a rod to handle 1.5 squarebills mainly, but also traps, bigger squarebills and jerkbaits. I’m thinking of a Dobyn’s 705cb in the graphite. I’d think the 705 cb glass would be to flimsy. Btw the specs for both are medium heavy mod-fast rods. I don’t want a dedicated squarebill rod I’d say, I just want something that can throw a 1.5 really well while being capable of other techniques.
