Asian Portal Fishing Charged Me Twice?

Featured Replies

I bought a zillion from them and now my card has two charges for the same thing. One is pending but I’m trying to get a bantam soon and now I’m in debt on my debit card.I believe if they don’t do anything with the pending transaction in a couple days they’ll give your money back, but I’m not sure. Anyone have something similar happen with them and if so what happened?

I have not had your issue, but I have had VERY good experiences with the company.

If push comes to shove, can always dispute the charge via your bank.

My buddy Lou somehow bought two Twin Power reels from AP.

They arrived on consecutive days, and AP wouldn't pay for return shipping.

So I bought it from Lou.  Nice reel.

I’ve not had this happen in the ~30 purchases over the last three years. Reach out to them immediately and let them know you’ve been charged twice and need the second charge removed.

I always go through PayPal, I’ve never used a card on any foreign website just to cut down on the hassle. It’s almost impossible to talk to them real time since the hours of business are nearly opposite of ours.

Not dealt with AP, but I've had duplicated charges like that.  As said above, the pending one is probably a pre-authorization and will disappear in a day or two.  You see it with some gas stations here as well.  I think it depends on the CC processor they are using since that's who sets the rules about what is charged immediately, what needs to wait a day for clearance, what is preauthorized, etc.

Probably this ^^

Is your debit card channeled through paypal or did you just straight use your debit card? I know you're not liable for credit card charges you didn't make but I thought you're kinda SOL if your debit card gets compromised..
