G-Loomis NRX+ 894c JWR Balance
The thing is I was trying to put a Metanium MGL on it. It’s 6.3 oz. I’m hoping it would balance because that combo would seem so pleasurable to fish.

G-Loomis NRX+ 894c JWR Balance
I’m currently looking into a new jig rod. Looking at the NRX+ 894c JWR to handle jigs 3/8 to 1/2 oz plus the trailer and bigger t-rigs. The only thing I’m worried about is the lack of reviews in the NRX+ in this model and if it is tip heavy in the NRX+. I’ve heard that the old NRX 894c JWR was really top heavy to some people. I wonder if they fixed that in the model? I know it’s an NRX and I’m probably bugging out but I’m not trying to regret my decision on a $625 rod.

Expride B or Expride A?
So if it does feel like a moderate fast, what about the 6’10 medium jerkbait stick? Would that feel like a mod fast? Just wondering because that’s one of the best rods in the lineup and I would be shocked if a mod-fast was that good of a jerkbait stick.

Expride B or Expride A?
Tackle Warehouse still has some 7’3 and 7’11 XH’s in stock in the A. Does the rod even feel like a moderate fast?

Expride B or Expride A?
So what you are saying is on Shimano it says moderate fast on their website but when you have the rod it will be listed as fast on the rod?

Expride B or Expride A?
I was looking at a new frog rod and the Expride 7’3 XH was what I was looking at. Only issue is the Expride B is a moderate-fast. I want a fast for frogs but I’m also not sure if they really even changed the action on the B. I’m also using this rod for some flipping so there’s that. It’s hard to get opinions on this considering barely anyone has the Expride B. I don’t know if I should just get the A or wait for the B.

NRX+ 894 or 893 JWR?
I want a new jig rod for 3/8-1/2 jigs. I was wondering between the two which I should go. I’ve heard the 893 handles a 3/8 better and the 894 handles a 1/2 jig very well. I’m conflicted.

DX 744 FH and 1/2 oz jigs?
I just bought the DX 744 FH and was wondering could this rod hand 1/2 oz jigs. I know Dobyns are weird because their blanks seem a little lighter and was just curious. I was planning to use this rod for jigs from 3/8-1/2 oz and 1/4 oz t-rigs.

Gamakatsu Round Bend: Should I go standard or 2X?
I’m replacing the hooks on a Red Eye Shad. I haven’t seen the standard Gamakatsu round bend compared to the 2X. Would the 2X be too beefy or the standard be too small?. If anyone has experience with these hooks can someone give me an educated answer. Also the size I’m getting is size 4.

Daiwa Kage LT Knob
That’s very helpful. I assume they come stock with the plastic coat.

Daiwa Kage LT Knob
I’m looking at the Daiwa Kage LT at my local pro shop and I was wondering if the cork knob was coated or if I would have to seal it? I have not gotten to look at one in person since they’ve been out of stock but they said they were getting some coming in soon.

Should I Get an Orochi XX
I’ve only heard that being resolved with the Levante. They did it with the Orochi?

Should I Get an Orochi XX
I want to get the Megabass Orochi XX Braillist but am scared to make the move. I like the rod fro what I wanna do but from reviews on TW a lot of people have snapped casting versions of the Orcochi XX. I saw a lot of problems with the perfect pitch but also saw stuff on the Spec R, Flatside Special, and EMTF. I didn’t see anything on the Braillist though which makes me more confident. I really like the cosmetic look and also it looks perfect for what I want to do. Even Tactical Bassin uses it as their jig rod. I want to throw literally bottom bait up to a half oz and swim jigs. If anyone has experience with the Braillist or even other Orochi’s I’d like to get other opinions on it (Preferably the casting models though).

7’5 Heavy Zodias
Do u think this rod can handle a 3/4 oz jig? Or even a 1/2-3/4 oz texas rig? Just wondering cuz I’m mainly fishing 1/2 oz flipping jigs on this but was wondering if it could take the step up and fish 3/4. This rod isn’t gonna fish anything bigger then 3/4 for my applications.

DOBYNS CHAMPION EXTREME 743 QUESTIONS
Questions for the 743... • Is it stouter than the previous dobyns rods like the champion xp? •Is the tip more moderate? •Could I throw jigs and t-rigs on this rod (For the jigs 3/8 oz and t-rigs 1/4 oz)? •Is it stout in general at all? •Off topic but can’t u call dobyns to help with your decision? •If you owned one, did u like it? Thanks to everyone who responds, it’s good feedback especially getting close to the holiday season.

Line for T-Rigs with a Weight and Jig between 1/2-3/4 OZ
I’m trying to figure out what line for the applications above me. I was thinking 65 lb braid with leader line but I would appreciate feedback for a more educated opinion.

744 for up to 1/2 oz Frogs?
Ik a lot of people use xh rods for frogs but I’m trying not to blow all my money out the window for a rod for each technique. I bet the 744 would be good for smaller frogs but the biggest frog I’m throwing is half ounce so would that work?

Dobyns Rod Power Confusion?
Thanks for all the replies everyone! Appreciate it! If anyone comes back to this I really want to throw a 3/8 jig, 1/4 t-rig, and a 3/8 chatter bait mostly. I think with that chatter bait I understand weight and all but I think the rod would be good for smaller chatter baits and like smaller thin hook swim jigs. I’m predominantly throwing 3/8 and 1/4 on this rod. 1/2 oz I might do here and there but if I realize it’s too heavy I’ll just look to use it on another rod.

Dobyns Rod Power Confusion?
I’m looking into buying a dobyns champion extreme and I want a 7’4 medium heavy rod but people say that dobyns fish lighter. Does that mean I should get the 744 or do I stick with 743 still. I am generally throwing chatterbaits, jigs, and t-rigs. The heaviest anything would be thrown on this rod is 1/2 oz. I’m personally thinking 743 because it can still handle up to 3/4 oz but I want a second opinion to feel safe. A rod of this price should not be rushed to purchase. Thanks for the responses.
