Took longer than usual to get the MGL 150 from TW. No prob.  It was nice to kinda forget about my purchase.

history.  I have the 200 and a BFS as well.

I put the new 150 on an extra Fury 703 I have.  Laced it up with sunline Sniper 12lb flouro.  I tightened the spool just beyond the side to side lock up and turned the brake to 3 (?didn’t have my readers). I let it rip with a 3/8th practice plug. Just a gentle side pitch to get the feel.  That thing rocketed across my culdesac. I think I can get good distance even on conservative reel settings.   I didn’t get that first backlash as I did with most new reels :)  I can’t wait to have that physical altercation with a decent bass with it. I might take it to OK for my upcoming Striper Fishing trip !

it’s a nice reel.

Nice!  Glad you remembered to set the brake.  I've had the pleasure of not setting them on a new out of the box reel.  Fun.

I’ll report back after I actually use it.

one thing. It’s the first baitcast reel to favor laying the line down on the right side. I had to jog down the block with the drag loose to pull off line.  Cranked it all back in and it laid down uniformly.  Weird

Had mine out for the first time today. Took a little longer to dial in then the k. Having six breaks took a touch more fine tuning. Smooth as a currado should be. All and all I like it. It will probably be the new go to when I need a new reel. Goes well with a 6’8” mh expride for finesse jigs and light t rigs

They are very nice, ergonomics are top notch, had mine out a few times so far, got it dialed in after a few short trips, was out bank beating and bombing jerks and traps significantly further than a guy with a spinning outfit just down the bank from me yesterday, I think I impressed both of us from a few looks he gave me haha, no drag tests yet though, distance smokes what I can squeeze out of my daiwa sv's. Seems to me that they like a fair bit of spool tension, was running three pins and very low on the brake around 1-2.

I actual don't like my MGL as much as I like my Curado DC and Curado K. I don't know what it is, but it seems "off" a bit.

And Tackle Warehouse seems to be taking longer than usual to get things processed and shipped. I orders some lures and soft plastics on the 13th and still don't have a shipping date. I was hoping yo have everything delivered by the weekend.
