1998 xpress 16' bass boat with one raptor anchor

Featured Replies

Unfortunately I do not have room for 2 pumps? I already installed one min kota raptor 10' I went with the 10' thinking it'd help with spin some and mounted on the angled bracket. Will I just spin like crazy or will it be okay?

Only way to tell for sure is to try it out for yourself!

I have a 2000 Xpress 16', and I can't imagine that it would handle the weight of two raptors very well.

With someone on the back deck the boat already sits a little too low.

Heck, I still run a 12V trolling because I don't even want to add the weight of a third battery.

Same here.

I'm 6'6" 275lbs.  I need a bigger boat, lol.

Even if it starts spinning a little bit. Once you are anchored down, just put the trolling motor on like 2 for speed, and correct with the trolling motor. I think that will be your best bet if you cannot have two.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.  I have one 12 foot talon on my boat.  Its not a true one spot holding point if there's any wind or current.  It acts more as a pivot-point with my bow mount.

I would be interested in hearing what you think of the Minn Kota Raptor after you use if for a while though.

I will definitely keep everyone updated. It looks huge on the back if my boat so I think it'll hold well
