Livescope help

Featured Replies

Just got a livescope recently and am having issues.  went out this morning and I figured out my livescope problem…it’s showing what’s behind the trolling motor (backwards).  I’m pretty sure the transducer is on the right way…is it possible the orientation is wrong?  I think there’s a way to calibrate it…do you think that will fix it?  So when I face the trolling motor forward right now toward the shore…it shows it going deeper.  Then I put a big A-rig 10 feet behind the trolling motor and could see it…but when I put it 10 ft in front, I couldn’t see it. Any ideas how to fix this?  thanks

You got a pic of the transducer mounting?

Sounds like beams are shooting under the boat. You need to rotate the transducer back a couple notches, but this will vary depending on which side of the troll motor you’re mounted on. Also see if you are running in auto orientation (AHRS) or manually overridden.

The most logical explanation is the transducer mount.

Other explanations involve aliens and UFOs.  ?

Ha thank you all!  I sent a pic to my dealer and they said it was the correct transducer orientation...but I called Garmin and the support guy told me it was wrong and got it working properly.  Thank you all for the advice...you were correct!  Is it important to calibrate it?  Or is that just done when it's installed?
