This lake still producing good smallmouth? I am trying to plan a trip soon to do some smallmouth fishing and this one was always fun, but haven't been down for 5-7 years now. Milford is good, but too hit or miss for me.

Fished a tourney there this weekend, was pretty tough, got 9th with 2 fish for almost 4 pounds.  11 pounds won the whole thing.  Lake is quite dirty right now.  

 

However, there are good smallies still in there from what I’ve heard.

Kind of depends on the conditions but it's been a lot tougher than it has in the past, but better than it was for a few years when it crashed pretty hard. They aren't everywhere like they use to be.
