So I’ve been fishing craws, green pumpkin worms and Ned rigs. I was doing really well up until recently. Maybe I’m just not fishing in the right spots because the fish moved. Maybe it’s after the spawn and they want other things? Any ideas for what baits to throw in south shore area mass right now?

For me in  nh most fish are spawned out. Post spawn I have my best luck throwing weightless flukes , senkos , swimbaits , swim jigs , spinner baits , and chatterbaits up into newly growing vegetation. When the bluegill begin to spawn in a few weeks I start to throw some jigs , frogs , bluegill patterns in the same vegetation and sometimes I will go back to the same areas I found bass on beds in as well. If I see bluegill on beds it’s a good indication there’s bass not far behind. Just my thoughts but I tend to fish much less deep water then people in my area so others may disagree and have some better advice. 

Chances are the fish have relocated because the spawn is wrapping up. A good way to catch fish right now is search baits to find pockets of fish or fry guarders. Swimbaits, chatterbaits, squarebills, etc. If you get bit in an area, slow down and fish it slower with your bottom contact baits like your Texas rigs and jigs. 

 

Don't be afraid to throw topwaters as well now. I caught a few on a buzzbait last week here in PA.

I would start looking in the areas you caught them before the spawn. Middle to the first 1/3 of a cut, secondary and main lake points. If you have shad top water before the sun gets up too.

Bluegill on beds are easy pickings for bass, and the bite windows get shorter for a bit, but they're furious if you can be there at the right time.

Fishing has also slowed way down here in my favorite pond in South Florida. I see their wakes along the shoreline around dawn but they seldom bite on any of the baits that are usually effective. Don't know what they're eating but they don't want my offerings.

Those are tilapia in close. Throw slow moving baits, worms, flukes, senkos, etc. 

What are your water temps?  Once the spawn is over the bass will start moving back out.  Intercept them on the way to deeper water.  Look for crappie spawn, then shad spawn and then the bluegills moving up to spawn.  Bass will follow a shad spawn.  I love to fish the bluegill spawn.  Good way to pick off bass ready to ambush.
