.....also, if your burying your rod on when the fish is far away from the boat, you would be better served to keep it out of the water and sweep it to try and control the head when airborne.

Hmmm..so I have had some incidents of losing big sm on plopper style baits, that is, a bait that is rather compact and weighted for long casts..now adding o rings could help a bait like this get thrown less?

Thats odd for me, Coz thats how I kept them from jumping and it was successful method for me.

Adding g a link between the bait and trebles stops the bass from gaining leverage on the bait.  It is less likely to be thrown since it doesn’t bind
