Keep it civil and non political

While IL has some very strict firearms laws, many unconstitutional IMO, we(I) wasn't subject to the laws of NY and CA as far as CCL and having to prove a necessity to carry concealed. I think this is a great step forward for the citizens in those affected states to be able to protect their property and their loved ones.

I completely disagree.  I’m not anti gun but I have close relatives in law enforcement who put their lives on the line every day.

Im not sure what that has to do with it?

 

Your close relatives (and all other LE) aren’t able to personally protect/defend every law abiding citizen in the state at all times. So granting those citizens the ability to protect themselves (which should have never been taken away) is absolutely a good thing.

As do I. Has nothing to do with law abiding citizens choosing to defend themselves.
