Garmin lake mapping

Featured Replies

I have a garmin echomap uhd73sv.  My lake mapping has stopped working.  When I hit the bottom on the lake mapping to start mapping nothing happens.  I swear it was working in April.   I did a software update in late April and it doesn’t work anymore.  Maybe I did it but, I don’t remember messing with those settings. I can’t even get any of the previous mapping to show up from previous.  Any ideas. ?

I don't have that unit but on my Garmin I have to tell it to start recording. It doesn't do it automatically.

Make sure your sim card is installed and in good condition.  If that isn't the problem, it is most likely in your settings.  You may have to get your manual out, and follow all the instructions of start up and go through all of your settings.

I had the same problem on my 93sv UHD.  Called Garmin and they suggested a complete reset.  That fixed it.

Might just have to do that.  I just adjusted my side scan to where I was seeing everything good.  The way points would be saved on the chip right ?

I believe so:

This restores the default configuration settings, but does not remove saved user data, maps, or software updates.
