Small lakes = small fish?

There are small ponds, lakes, rivers, and canals in the South that are loaded with big bass, many of these places are overlooked for more famous bodies of water. That is why you should always take any body of water serious when you are fishing in Southern States.

I’ve caught 2 LMB over 5 lbs. out of a local pond near me that I could have sworn only had dinks in them after my first 5 or 6 outings there, when I caught nothing but 1 lbers all day. Ya never know…

My personal best was caught in a small pond, I'd say less than an acre total.

Knew some guys who would catch LMB's at a larger lake, and transport them to this pond. This was back in the 1990's.

You never know until you fish it...
