God I love this guy and I just don't hear anything about him. His first 2 albums are in my top 25...hell maybe top 10. I just get it ..clicks with me.

What about the other 25?  I love his early stuff, too.  But he was all over the place soon after.  I give him a lot of credit for making music on his terms.  But not a lot after the early 80s really appealed to me.  He didn't mind giving the finger to corporate music powers, so he probably suffered with weaker promotion and exposure. 

I’ve got quite a bit of his music in my Spotify rotation. When I was younger I was only into 2 bands Kiss and Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band. Thank god for my older brother and his friends opening my ears, my real epiphany came when one of my brothers friends turned me onto 93.1 WXRT?
