Pflueger reel knob

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have a Pflueger Purist spinning reel that has barely been used and the handle knob is really tacky and almost like melted. Any cool cheap suggestions that fit this model? 1335 I believe or similar to a President 35. Cork or plastic ? Its just a secondary steelhead reel.

Yeah, some lubes will do that.

Judging by listings for Pflueger spinning and baitcast reels on e-replacement parts,

Knobs on Pflueger baitcasters can be replaced, but not spinning reels - you need the complete handle, and many of those are discontinued parts.

Here's an ebay example - some others are listed for twice the cost.

If you have enough meat on the handle you may be able to tap it to receive a threaded knob, not something the average angler is probably going to be able to do, and the cost wouldn't justify it most times. I like to tackle (pun intended) the "Can't be done" bike repairs at the shop, just for S&Gs, and to teach my techs some techniques.
