What are you guys using to dye your plastisol for soft baits. Specifically interested in a solid white. And chartreuse.

I use colorant from all of the major companies-Dead On, M-F, Do-It and Lurecraft just to name a few. 

 

Solid white should be pretty similar throughout the brands, but everyone's chartreuse will be a bit different.

Probably Dead-On. 

I just use powdered pigment.  I have a bunch from other projects I do, so it's what I've got on hand.  For white, I use titanium dioxide.  

 

Though the advantage to a dye is it mixes a lot easier.  Mixing powdered pigments can take a while, so it's probably not worth it if you're microwaving your plastisol.  You'd have to reheat it several times, I assume, as it will cool off while stirring, and there will be a lot of stirring.  The advantage to powdered pigments is you have more control and it's a lot cheaper.  $100 of titanium dioxide is about a lifetime's supply.  And if you're heating over a hotplate like I do, it's not too bad.

Hard to choose really.....they all have great colors that differ from each other in their own right.

DoP is close to LW as far as saturation levels per drop most times, LW has TONS more variety.

BP tends to be thick so you dont need as many drops per cup, but again, variety is low.

MF has LOADS of colors but seems to run thin (more drops needed per cup) for me. 

If I had to choose one......BP would probably get the nod. With the variety they have, you can make almost any color (sans the changeables like Motor Oil).
