I just opened this Daiwa Fuego LT 2500 and discovered that I couldn't put the handle on the left side because the screw is recessed so far on the left that it protrudes on the right.  Is there some way to fix that?  The picture of the left side is blurry, but there's a phillips head there.  I tried loosening it and it's so tight I somewhat stripped it, and it wouldn't budge.

Do these things come from the factory with a phillips in there?? I dont own one but thats something ive never seen ...

 

did you read the instructions?  mine are different.

As long as that screw isnt too far out it shouldnt contact the inside of the handle as it is recessed.  

My Fuego looks the same.

The Phillips head screw is suppose to be in there.

Mine switches fine from right to left.

The thread on your handle could be messed up.

Try rotating it backwards alittle until it is level then go forward.
