I think taking a reel I could only get $5-$20 for and get $50 in trade value is an excellent bargain.

You could donate it to a 501c organization that takes kids fishing and write off the MSRP on your taxes...

I just traded in 3 old reels that I would never use.  Saved 140 bucks off my 3 reels, 2 2500 Vanfords and a Stradic 2500 FL.  2nd time I’ve used it.  For sure I think the current trade in program definitely favors BPS.  I think though it’s a solid deal to get the 200 and 220 trade ins.  If they had a Curado MGL I would’ve nabbed that too.  Unfortunately didn’t have one in stock.
