RAID Head Swimmer Libero

Featured Replies

Wanted to get everyone's take on the RAID Head Swimmer Libero? I'm looking to pick up a couple of different patterns (Pink Trick, White Chartreuse, Onion Gill), I saw the guy's at the Hook Up Tackle crushing smallmouth from the bank.

I like that you get the total package in one clamshell with 2 jigheads & 4 swimbaits. The jighead with the v shaped weed guard looks dynamite.

Just another underspin? Seems like there's a big push for higher quality underspins coming out Dirty Jigs/Tactical Bassin' and the new famous Smeltinator.

Those look like winners to me.  Curious on the overall size, if you need to replace the swimbait, that's a relatively long shank compared to the swimbait body.

Yeah. I resisted since these came out, but finally succumbed to getting a couple. Hopefully the pre-rig lasts for more fish than non pre-rigged setups. I like the bite gap and hook placement relative to the swimbait body. Looks like finicky nippers should get stuck. I'm trying the new tactical underspin as well. Last year those new gammy underspins significantly increased my hook-land ratio vs the coolbaits underspin for smallies especially. The hook and gap on those gammy underspins seems far superior to any other underspin I've experienced.

I have a package of the 7g in chi gill. I like how they swim.

Just threw it for the first time yesterday. High pressure day, 8-10 mph winds, blue skies, and mildly stained water. Threw the stained Wagasaki and got 4 small bass, 4 big crappie and a small pike in less than an hour. The bait still in fairly good condition after all those and perfectly fish able still. Hook is still sticky. Was throwing a 3.8 on another setup with a guppy head. 1 missed bite, no landed fish..... but I generally wouldn't expect to have a good day with a 3.8 at that body of water for until 1 more week of increased night temps with a lower pressure day.

Thanks for the feedback, I think they'll be a fun bait in tough conditions or when I take my daughter out to beat the bank.

I caught up couple of RAID videos on YT, the rocking head motion and body roll look really good.

Blown away at how small this bait is. I bought the 7g in pink and ice blue. Thought I’d throw a picture up for comparison to a Spro BBZ-1 Baby Shad for anyone that’s curious.

It casts like a bullet.

Thanks for the info guys, it's a bait that I've been looking at for a while and I know it's one of the best sellers at the Hook up Tackle . Sounds like it's producing well and guys are keeping it quiet . I have a weakness for japanese tackle, I'm sure it won't be long before I give in.
