Navplanner2???

Featured Replies

Hey guys I need a little help. I am intersested in getting some topo/contour software for my pc. I have older outdated electronics on my boat and wont be able to view them or transfer them to the boat, however I do have a handheld Garmin that I use and could transfer the coordinates too. I was just wondering how all of this works. Is the Navplanner gonna do what I want. I just want to view my fishing spots on the computer and transfer the coordinates to my hanheld unit. ANy help would be appreciated. Also any other suggestions that you might have.

Oh and all of the lakes that I fish are listed on the software.

Thanks

I have the Navplanner2. You can import data to it, and export data from it. Keep in mind, it is for sure compatible with Navionics maps. The product is sold by Navionics, the software is developed by Fugawi.

Check this for compatibility.

You can contact Fugawi for technical support at support@fugawi.com for email, or search their online support at www.fugawi.com/support.

If you have a problem with either of those, just go to www.fugawi.com , then find support or contact. You can also contact them by phone. 416-920-9300 ext2. They are located in Canada.

Their customer, or potential customer support is excellent. If you contact Navionics, they will refer you to Fugawi.

Because you will not be importing data, you may want to consider Navionics HotMaps instead of Navplanner.  It costs only about $20.00 and has all the lakes that Navplanner does.  Its drawback is that you get only one high definition (one foot contours) map with the purchase.  Others will cost you $15.00 each.

I have Navplanner2.   Inside the "GPS Data Transfer" window, under the "model" tab, there's a dropdown menu that includes all the different types of GPS devices to transfer to.

On that menu listed are:  Garmin

  Garmin PVT

  Garmin USB

Not sure if this helps, but it looks like Garmin is included.
