GLX MBR843C vs Poison Adrena 611 Medium+ for T-rigs

Featured Replies

Hello folks, I’m looking for a new T-rig rod. It’ll used with a Trick Worm or a UV Speed Craw and a 3/16 bullet.

I’m interested in sensitivity, balance and rear grip (I like long handles) and I like this two rods:

- G. Loomis GLX 843C MBR

- SHIMANO Poison Adrena 6’11” Medium +

What do you prefer?

Thanks a lot

I use to have the GLX 843C but got rid of it. From what I can remember it had decent sensitivity but wasn't outstanding. I like long handles too, but I felt it was alittle too long for my liking.

I still have my Adrena 6'11 med plus. I throw 3/16 to 1/4 T-rigs on it. I feel it's as good in sensitivity as my Conquest rods - which I also sold off.

I know sensitivity is subjective but you should be pleased with the Adrena.

I have used the GLX and the Posion Adrena,  for sensitivity,  I would go with the Posion Adrena.

I haven't fished the casting models mentioned but fished the poison adrena 6-11 and the GLX 842 in spinning and I preferred the GLX and it wasn't even close. Different strokes.

GLX gets my vote. That sucker is so light and sensitive

My vote is for the 6'11M+ Adrena.  I find it as sensitive as my conquest, and love fishing t-rigs with it. It is so light and balanced with a 6oz reel, with a great tip and smooth transition backbone, it does so many things well.  One of my favorite setups.
