Storing baits like the Trace & Armajoint Swimbaits

Only ones I know that melt are megabass islides.  I hang them and then just toss in a box for the day.

I store my Armajoint in a plano.   I just make sure that the tail doesn't ever touch any other plastics.   I've got a Trace, but don't fish it so it's still in the OEM box.

The Armajoint ships with that tail protector as well, could always just leave it on.  I did for months until recently.

I fished a 6" Trace Monday night. Dried on the rod overnight and put back into the plano early Tuesday morning. Been there ever since. Tail is fine. Not sticky or anything weird.

Thanks for the replies. I put a couple of baits in a open Plano so we'll see if there's any issue. The reason I asked this question was because I'd met someone on the water who saw me throwing a Trace and warned me that his had melted in a box. This was the first time I'd heard of that happening.

I'll report back to this thread if I have any issues.

EDIT - I haven't noticed anything wrong with the Trace being in a plano box or  touching other hard baits.. BUT.. I placed a soft plastic on a Trace tail to see what would happen and it was starting to melt when I checked on it 12 hours later. Just wanted to update and give a heads up to anyone who may be asking this question in the future.
