I love these 3 rods, and I want something that is good in heavy cover as the reservoir I fish is heavy vegetation and fairly shallow water as well as doing a lot of junk fishing for Largemouth. I have never frog fished, but I think it may do well in this area. Most of it 1-4' deep in the area I fish. For some reason, I really like the aesthetic of the Evergreen combat stick as well as the Cashion Icon series. The Evergreen is about 50-60$ cheaper than the others listed. Thoughts?

I’d go evergreen combat stick.    I have 7 of them.   They’re great for the price.

I have the Victory and a few Combat sticks.   Go Evergreen. 

I've also got a combat stick and would recommend it as well. 7'2 mh/mf rated to 1.25oz, chucks 6" mag drafts comfortably. Very light in the tip it might be my most balanced rod.

Alright! Thank you for the feedback. I just purchased the 7'3'' Heavy Mod/Fast action paired with  a Tatula 150. I hope this will serve me well with frogging and jigging heavy cover. Also bought a few frogs. Pretty excited

Did you have any issues with 50# braid? The rating online says 10-20lb line..I assume it was referring to fluorocarbon or mono

none.   Use a tatula elite with it and spooled up with 50lbs berkley x5.    I’d imagine the line rating is for mono.   

I’d go with Evergreen orVictory.

 

I’ve only used the Evergreen glass rods, but I enjoy them for my applications.  I’ve used both for ripping through grass as well (Chatterbait and crank baits) and they’ve worked well for that.

 

In comparison, I’ve tried doing the same with the Daiwa Rebellion and it did not work as well—felt very soft.
