The photo looks dated, can anyone guess when the picture was taken?

Here’s what my detective work has uncovered.

 

I checked and the domain skeeterboats.com was registered in April 1997 

 

I believe the Lowrance is an LCX-15.  Found the manual for it online and it was copyrighted in 2001.

I’m terrible at guessing ages but I would say Mark Menendez looks about 40 years old in the photo.  He turned 40 in 2004.

 

The book referenced was published in 2013, but that doesn't really date the photo. 

2006 No explanation, just an edgemecated guess.
