I think i made out awsome today, thanks to the not so knowledgeble folks at k mart i walked away with a qauntum vapor medium 6.6 foot extra fast tip rod for 18.99. The rod itself feels and looks great!!! Anyone own a quantum rod? never used one before buts i cant wait. Btw that was a good deal right?? i  didnt buy a peice of crap rod did i?

If it can catch fish (and it can) it isn't junk. Although a serius bass fisherman should invest in a higher line rod and reel, the low end ones work just fine.

I cought my 3 of my largest bass, 3.5lber, 4lber and a 5.2lber on a Light action 5' 6" YAD Duri-stick that cost $11. I used that rod for the first half of the past season, and it served me well. I probaly have cought more bass on that rod than any other.

Unfortunatly, the rod snapped well lying in my room. If that didn't happen then i would be still using it today.

I totally agree my second pb was cought on a $20 eagle claw spining combo, current pb was on the ugly stick spining rod with a baitcasting reel. And after an ugly stick anything should be better

As a custom rod builder, I will tell you this. That the fish doesn't know what your using only what it see's and can taste. The rod you bought probably isn't a high end rod, but if it felt good in your hand and you use it the right way, you will catch with it.
