Tokyo rig, any love?

Featured Replies

Bought a few a couple years ago, and kinda forgot about them. Anyone have good results with them as different  option for Texas rig?

I used the Tokyo quite a bit before I settled on the Jika.

It was a productive rig.

no luck.

i did however watch my friend kill it with a Tokyo rig punched into light mats.

I couldn't do very much with them.  I like how they come through grass, but the soft bottoms here just swallow them, or bog them down with crap.  If there were more hard bottom locally, they would be much more efficient.

I started with jika rigs and then made my own 1 oz. Jika punch rigs. I have no use for a Tokyo rig. Seems like a fussy copy that does the same thing with way more expensive parts.

That's pretty much how I ended up using the Jika.

It's less "fussy"  than Tokyo and are easily made.
