Which rod should I pick? NRX+ 893 vs 903

Featured Replies

I already own the 873 and am looking to add a 2nd nrx+ casting rod to my arsenal. I'm looking to use this rod to be versatile enough to throw light (under 1/2 oz) jigs and texas rigs, swim jigs, and maybe the odd time will be used for spinnerbaits or chatterbaits. Any recommendations?

I use the 873C for all the things you mentioned in the new rod you're after. I would step up to the 904C and use it for your 1/2 to 3/4oz jigs. They make for a good one two punch.

Ended up going with the 893 because I preferred the split grip and I liked how it felt lighter than the 903. I think its going to be amazing at ripping chatterbaits out of grass and swim jigs. It feels like it has that megabass P5 double action with that light extra fast tip and the deep loading on the hookset.
