Seaguar Abrazx

Featured Replies

I was gifted a spool of 8# Abrazx. Never used it before.. how does it perform? I'm expecting that it would be good on a spinning reel and used for bottom contact techniques.

Thoughts?

Send a thank you note.  Good stuff.  Very good for bottom contact.  If you like it, I recommend InvisX next time you want to buy flouro....same mfr, similar price, slightly more manageable....but nothing wrong with AbrasX

AbrazX only as a leader on a spinning reel (with #10 lb. - #15 lb. braid main line ) . Any FC line greater than #6 lb. usually will have handling issues on a spinning reel .

I like Abrazx but it might be to stiff for a spinning reel. I would use some KVD line conditioner. In the future, 8lb Invizx would be a better choice.

Abrazx is good line but I usually go for Invizx because it’s more manageable - unless it’s specifically for dragging over rocks. Invizx would be a better choice for spinning gear as well.
